This expansion introduces several optional modules that can be used separately or combined, allowing players to finely tune the level of challenge. Delving cards force difficult choices as you descend, testing your appetite for risk. Torments grant short-term benefits while slowly driving your character toward madness, culminating in a deadly confrontation if mismanaged. Cursed Jewelry offers powerful new abilities that can be refreshed at a cost, while Scrolls replace potions with unpredictable yet extremely potent magical effects.

New Rooms bring fresh and dangerous encounters, while a new Character, the Condemned, and a terrifying new final Guardian, the Champion’s Remains, greatly enhance replayability and narrative tension.
